In Connect 9.4 and earlier, it was only possible to download an FLV (Flash Video) version of a recording. The FLV files were difficult to view and of poor quality. In Connect 9.5, you can download Connect recordings in MP4 format.

Yes! You can do that, but this is cracker technique. Download and install LiveHTTP Header for Mozilla Firefox.
Run it and check 'request'. View my picture bellow for settings. Start or refresh page with presentation.
The download:
*.swf files = video of presentation
*.mp3 = audio of presentation
Join files - video and audio with video editor. Thats all :)!

Could you suggest a free video editor that you use for such purpose? And, is there any alternative for Internet Explorer, or do I have to use Firefox?
I did check 'capture' and 'request' checkboxes. When I attempt to save either .swf file or .mp3 file, it requires me to provide a name for the files to be saved, when instead it should have used the original filename. When the file is saved, the file size is just 0 or 1 KB, meaning that it cannot be played at all. I would appreciate further advice on this matter.
