Sims 4 32 Bit Download
- edited March 2014from your lips to EA ears
for me the question is two part - will the platform be 32/64 and will it be vista compatible or not
ideally the platform will be 64 and not vista compatible, so that the directx will be 11 not 9
the one thing working against this ideal, the infamous quote that lower end computers will be able to run the base. for me i read that to mean that it will be a 32 bit platform which would be such a shame - many games are moving to 64 and just as important is if the series last as long as a typical one sims 4 will be in my view ridiculously behind in tech in a couple of years.
there are two things that make me still hold out
the current trend seems to be to create both platforms - that would work. im even more hopefully this could be an option since the recent released info re EPs seems to have different options - perhaps for different computer OS!
and also EA has claimed in the past that they base the specs on the average computer well with the delay of the release the average computer is more more like the ideal - 64 bit wins 7 OS
a good unofficial documentation of this change in trends is steams user's survey

- edited March 2014Well, IF I make the leap to Sims4 (and trust me the jury is still out on this one) I won't be getting a new computer. This one is brand new, as in I just got it in the Fall. It is a 64-bit DDR 3, Win 7 OS. I've got tons of space on this, too, so that it wouldn't be impossible to keep Sims3 installed and to install at least the base game of Sims4. Again, I'm not entirely convinced I'll make the leap. You can download (free) all three volumes of my Night Whispers Star Trek Fanfiction here: http://galacticgal.deviantart.com/gallery/ You'll need to have a pdf reader. Given that they released SimCity on 32 bit so it would run on 'dad's computer', this is what leaves me so concerned. - edited March 2014I would assume so but at this point it's all just speculation. if it doesn't make the jump to 64bit i have a feeling Sims 4 as a whole is probably going to flop, or at least contain very little innovation.

so agree. and did you see that simcity can be played fully offline now, but to be fair MMO is away to pull up weaker computers, meaning it is possible to have the game be on a 64 bit platform and have 32 bit computers run the game. of course that would only mean something if done right - edited March 2014so agree. and did you see that simcity can be played fully offline now, but to be fair MMO is away to pull up weaker computers, meaning it is possible to have the game be on a 64 bit platform and have 32 bit computers run the game. of course that would only mean something if done right
I really hope that they have learnt from SimCity mistakes. Although given that The Sims is a much bigger franchise, hopefully they'll take things a bit more seriously - edited March 2014http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/544390/20140321/sims-4-round-up-release-date-announced.htm#.Uy37f_l_t8F
This does not bode well for my 64 bit hope0
